Your Niche and how to grow

By now I hope all of you have found at least one niche in which you are earning some residual income. If not, I urge you to make a listing of your skills and evaluate what you can do from home to earn a steady income.

Dealing with a family that has many illnesses has formed itself into a niche of sorts for me. I am able to write about various diseases and help others cope with long term and terminal illnesses.

The reason I share that with you is that anyone can build a niche with any skill they may have. It doesn't matter who you are or what your skills are, there is someone out there that can benefit from your skills and before you know it you will have filled a niche and be well on your way to earning money online and staying home with your family whatever the personal circumstances may be.

If you are in doubt about how to put your ideas into a niche simply jot down all of your skills. This could include housekeeping, running errands, yard work and more. Then simply do a search on your skills one by one and see what is online out in cyberspace that you can apply your skills to.

Be willing to be creative and keep an open mind. Many times we feel like we have nothing to offer only to find that we have way more skills than we have given ourselves credit for.

Take a chance and see what you gain.

Finding your Niche

So, have you googled your favorite subject lately? What came up? Or perhaps you have a pet peeve or something that you have noticed that isn't addressed by the average blog.

Whatever it is its time to expand upon it and make something of it. It doesn't require a whole lot of talent to set up a blog or website and make something of it.

Type in a few lines of whatever your subject is. Your own opinion is fine or you might expand upon something you have read of late and devote some time to discussing pros and cons of whatever it may be.

Chances are you will find plenty to blog about. Ad in a few ads from adsense and/or adbrite and some of the other ad sites and you will be up and running making income in no time.

I took a subject that I had found very little support of online and made a great blog out of it. I had it up and running very quickly and am getting a lot of great hits on the site. I have promised myself that I will add to it weekly and continue developing it. So far it is going very well.

Simply put, niche marketing is finding a small niche or corner of the internet and creating your own little niche or corner. Addressing a need for a service or product that is not as heavily addressed as other areas. Thus creating your own little niche.

There are many great strategies out there for identifying your own little niche and sharing in the profits.
